When S&P well data is imported, well evaluations are placed in Play-0 (as shown in the screenshot below). This is because S&P well data indicates the presence of hydrocarbons but does not specify the age/play.
However, discovery wells can be matched to their respective plays by inferring the play from the pools they discovered. Using the workflow below, together with the attached configuration file, will assign evaluations to the appropriate play. Note, non-discovery wells will not be updated.
1. Select the attached config file and place in the project folder
2. Choose the Player.gdb as the Source Directory and the downloaded config file from Configuration
3. Go to Play Evaluations, select the Young Age | Reservoir tick on the right-hand side. Match up the Plays in the table (note, well evaluations cannot be mapped to a parent play. For wells, parent play evaluations are a rollup of the sub plays). Select Update Wells button to run the update.
4. Save edits to store updates
